About Me

My name is Kate Freeman and I’m a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr).

I’m extremely passionate about providing honest, simple nutrition advice and doing it in such a way that inspires and motivates you to make positive lifestyle changes to achieve your health and nutritional goals. I don’t believe in fad diets, detoxes or quick fixes, my philosophy is long term lifestyle change.

I also provide freelance services and conduct a range of different nutrition seminars, that can be tailored to suit your clients needs. I also write a regular column for Her Canberra, an online women’s magazine, Mouths of Mums, a website just for mums and for a local Canberra business Vegies to Your Door.

My eBook, Lose Weight For Life is a simple to understand eating plan, based on balanced nutrition and will help you lose weight in the healthiest way possible and show you how to keep it off for life.

I am married with 2 young children and understand the importance of nutrition advice being suitable for the whole family and am passionate about helping parents feed their children well and learn how to deal with special needs or fussy eaters. I love cooking, running, eating out, experimenting with food and motivating people to eat well, cook well and enjoy life!

My Background

I have had over 6 years experience in the health and nutrition industry. I was part of a weight loss and exercise franchise, Healthy Inspirations, for 2 years where I gave weight loss, nutrition and exercise advice to help women lose weight and regain their fitness. I then went on to become a Lifestyle Consultant for a corporate health company, Health Futures, giving nutrition, exercise and general healthy living advice to people working in an office environment. I joined the Public Service at the beginning of 2007 where I worked in the Obesity and Physical Activity Section of the Commonwealth Government Department of Health and Ageing. I now run an online and face to face small business, Kate Freeman Nutrition, and raise my 2 beautiful children, Asha 3 years and Carter 18 months.

My Qualifications

I am a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) and member of the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA). I am also an associate member of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).

I have a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Human Nutrition from the University of Canberra (2004) and a Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition at Deakin University (2011).
